Forming an attachment for a young child is more than just a feeling; it is critical for healthy development. Attachment is the special bond that is formed between a child and a caregiver. At Bright Starts Daycare & Learning Center, we clearly understand how critically important infant attachment with their caregiver is. We provide lots of love in our infant room through consistent caregiving, which allows our faculty and staff to bond with our children. Our caregivers provide more than just excellent routine physical care; we provide our babies with lots of cuddles, affection, and positive responses, which allows them to learn that they are important and lovable.

While expressing love is important, the most secure attachments happen when a caregiver can read a baby’s cues and respond to their needs. A child will then respond with trust and interest. At Bright Starts, we understand how vital these early attachments are for a young child’s development. It lays the foundation for all future social development and relationships. A child that forms positive, secure attachments develops self-concept and self-regulation. The trust and bond they develop with their caregiver open up their world to endless learning opportunities.

With a positive redirect, they are able to learn right from wrong, which eventually leads them to regulate their behavior.

Additionally, our caregivers form a special relationship with our parents through honest open communication. We encourage this relationship by talking about how their baby is performing in our care. We provide daily reports that are sent home with each child that help keep parents informed of their child’s improvement and day.

Our infant room provides a wonderful environment for our babies to learn and grow. From the cloud effects on the ceiling to the fun designs on our walls, our infant room is designed to provide a sense of warmth, comfort, and safety.
